Success.

As i've written in my previous post, today was the day. the day when all doubts would be cleared. the day when everything would be revealed. it was important to me.

I ACTUALLY BAKED SOMETHING hahahhahahahaha.

I BAKED CUPCAKES! :D ahem, red velvet cupcakes, to be exact. :D

so yeah, the previous post was my lame attempt at being cryptic and vague :P

but seriously, it really was a day when doubts would be cleared and revelations revealed. you see, Mayjee Fun Fact #1: i absolutely loveeeee cakes and pastries. apart from ice-cream, cakes and pastries are the guaranteed fail-proof pick-me-ups that you can offer me whenever i'm sad. or whenever i'm angry at you *shrugs. there you have it; should you have unwillingly made me angry, offer me cakes and i'll definitely smile back at you :)

so, it would be in my wildest dreams to actually be able to bake something that i love eating so much. and today was the day to test out if i actually have the capabilities to bake.. something, anything, cos i can't cook or do anything domesticated for nuts. i've been wanting to bake this whole year but somehow never gotten around to doing it and then, BAM, one morning i suddenly decided that i've got to at least try baking once before the year ends. it's sort of like a pre-new year's resolution.

anyhoo, i did manage to bake the red velvet cupcakes heeh.



okay okay, i know. it definitely doesn't look like the fancy red velvet cakes/cupcakes you see out there ._. but i can assure you that it tastes gooood! in fact, quite similar to the good ones i've tasted outside *bigweteyes.




this is the first time i'm being so serious about baking! i actually went online and read quite a few baking blogs and read up on baking101 tips hahaha. i now know the difference between muffins and cupcakes! *proud wtf. i was so noisy while baking - asking my mum questions about baking, confirming what i read online was accurate etc. - that my mum actually went 'okay just concentrate on the batter and stop talking' WTF. unloved wtf.

oh, and why 'using all the strength that i could muster'? i realised that baking is really no easy job. my shoulders and arm ached like crazy while i was creaming the batter!

heh okay anyway, i should be baking some more during the break. watch this space wtf.
