It's funny how when life decides to enlighten me, it does it in a full force display, anything but subtle. it's usually separate occasions on the same day passing on messages to me as i contemplate them later at night when i'm all alone in my cocoon.
i read an article in reader's digest about this something turned something turned comedian turned author whose name escapes me at the moment (this is as much as my memory could serve me while flipping through the mag; it was quite a boring first-half between spain and germany). anyway, the article was about the comedian's courage and ability in accepting change as it is. he believes in two facts of life: 1. life is change, 2. if you don't accept change, you're not holding on to the past; you're losing the future.
tonight, i learn that it's true. everyone and everything changes - but it does not necessarily equal atrocity. it is merely a way of life - something as inevitable as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. and if i do not realize this fact, then, yes, i am indeed losing in on the future and the wonderful things entitled with it.
change. i'm not sure if i can adapt to the tangible signs in neon right away, but i will try.
